Gia Ciccone

Hello!

I am Gia, & I am unequivocally a food person. Growing up in a stereotypically Italian American family in South Florida, food was always at the forefront of everything; and now even all the way here in Seattle, where my husband Chris & I have lived since 2015, food continues to be the center of our lives. He’s a great cook — formerly a chef — and I am a pretty strong home baker, if I do say so myself.

#BakeGiaBake was a hashtag I kicked off in 2016 on my Instagram to house all of my bakes as I continued on my self-taught baking journey. My goal for this site is to share information about tools, techniques, cool ingredients, the occasional recipe, & what’s happening in the world of food.

I certainly hope you stay awhile!

Frequently asked

What kind of recipes do you share?
We love some baked goods around here. Lots of cookies, cakes, breads, pastries — but I will also share the occasional savory recipe.
Are your recipes beginner-friendly?
Yes! I’m self-taught, so I write recipes the way I wish I’d had them explained to me. Lots of context, tips for what can go wrong, and no assumption that you already know everything.
Where can I follow along?
Find me on Instagram at @bakegiabake, as well as TikTok, Threads, Bluesky, and Pinterest. This blog is where the longer stories and recipes live.
Can I reach out with questions or collabs?
Absolutely — head to the contact page and say hello.
